Career Opportunities
Most people do not want to stay in the same entry level position forever; they want to advance and gain new responsibilities and skills. If there is no room for advancement in your company, your employees are likely to look elsewhere for new career opportunities. That is why it is so important to offer advancement opportunities to employees who succeed at their jobs. If you offer your employees new career opportunities, they will feel appreciated and be much more likely to stay with the company.
Awards
There is nothing wrong with offering your employees service awards for their hard work. For example, you could give the employee with the most sales at the end of the week a gift card to a restaurant or electronics store. If you give your employees incentives, they will be much more engaged to work hard throughout the week. They will know that there is an award at the end, so they will do what it takes to meet their goals. You could also offer your employees salary bonuses or advancement opportunities for reaching their goals.
Good Relationship With Manager
It is more important than ever to have good and friendly relationships with your employees. If employees like and trust you, they are much more likely to be productive at work. They will also feel more comfortable to come to you with their questions and concerns. Make sure to always greet your employees when they come in to work and maintain a positive attitude. Also, tell your employees that you have an open door policy so that they can come to you whenever they need to. Do not ever make your employees feel scared to come to you with their questions and concerns.
As you can see, keeping your employees engaged is not that difficult. You just have to make them feel appreciated and offer incentives for their hard work. If you follow the tips mentioned above, your employees will be engaged and stay with the company.
