Since COVID-19 struck, native New Yorker Mobile Health has screened and protected frontline workers inside its city clinics. Recently, however, it stepped outside to help breathe life back into its neighborhood — by giving rapid-result COVID-19 tests to Central Park carriage drivers.
A Mobile Health medical team administered the Accula SARS-CoV-2 Test by Mesa Biotech to about a dozen drivers at the Clinton Park Stable Association stables, according to the NY Daily News. Drivers obtained results from the Point of Care tests in 30 minutes. After Mobile Health cleared drivers for their return to work, crowds of tourists and even a bride-to-be eagerly waited for a carriage ride.
The limited return of the horse-drawn carriages after a seven-month absence marked a step toward the Big Apple’s return to normalcy. As drivers resumed work in the 840-acre park, they offered free rides to healthcare heroes as thanks for their dedication.
Onsite Point of Care Tests
